Wonderful comments. I am reminded of a quote I once heard that; ” A gentleman thinks of others first and himself last.” This is my first post on your blog, but I have read it for several years. It is really an inspiration for those of us who recall a gentler and more civilized era.

That first quote is still true today. As a Southerner with Northern friends I have noticed that we seem to speak more and be freer with details. Rather than just a yes or no in answer to a question, we are more likely to launch into a tale to prove our point.

Great post! It feels great to embrace our culture and our natural God-given nation.

The Old South was the last great classical civilization. An American Sparta. If it exists in our hearts we may hope to bring it back again one day.
