In a very real way, this post sums up the entire reason for the existence of Confederate Colonel.

There are reasons our forefathers opposed socialism, egalitarianism and materialism. These ideas lead to a vision of human life that is not based in reality and gives us no shared values, no direction and really, no civilization.

It is not surprising that wherever they take root people become more selfish, more savage and less likely to appreciate the good, the beautiful and the true. In the name of ideology, more people have been sacrificed than for any other cause.

As you point out, the solution is as plain as it is simple: live for what works, and not just in a utilitarian sense, but in a sense of being an optimal life that is like a heaven on earth.

My reply is much the same as with your previous comments. While I appreciate your dedication to what you believe, our church goes by The Bible as our sole reference. The link you provided was about DNA studies regarding the Jews and Europeans. Now I assume that your beliefs are not based solely on that, and it is not my intention to imply that; however, the position you promote in your blog is not based on The Bible. In fact, it is quite counter to what The Bible teaches. It is for that reason that I removed the links.

Our church is no stranger to the doctrine you are promoting. Not too long ago, a man began attending our church and tried to spread these same ideas among the congregation. The pastor and the deacons met with him several times, showed him from The Bible where he was wrong, and yet he continued trying to win “converts” to his false doctrine. He was told that while he was welcome to attend, if he continued to try to spread false doctrine within this gathering of the church, he would be removed. He continued and was removed from the congregation in the manner prescribed within the pages of The Bible.

I try to live my life according to the principles and doctrines given to us in The Bible. For that reason, I will not allow this blog to be used in any way to help spread false doctrine, which is why your links were removed. I trust you would have a similar policy for your own blog. Since doctrinal matters are not the purpose of Confederate Colonel, such matters are not open to debate and discussion here. If needed, I state what The Bible says, and that’s all there is to it. The Bible, being God’s word to man, is THE final authority. We don’t have to like everything we find in The Bible – we just have to believe and obey it.
