Too often, we rely on what is taught in the public schools from books written by those with a strong political agenda. That agenda almost always shows The North as heroic freedom fighters, while showing The South as … well, you know the story.

The Southern Memorial Association was founded in the early 1870’s to maintain the graves of Confederate soldiers. Please post a comment if you can help with any information. Thank you!
